Swedish Massage
Combines various hands-on techniques of long movements including gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction. Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle for ultimate relaxation, or vigorous, fast, and bracing for more energetic and invigorating, depending on the client’s goal.
Lymphatic Massage
(MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels (peristalsis) and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then beyond the lymph nodes to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure.
Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage is the therapeutic bodywork that is designed to alleviate stress, muscle soreness and tension, and to improve overall health. There are many benefits to prenatal and postpartum massage therapy, which are now being recognized by obstetricians, labor educators, delivery nurses, midwives, and childbirth.
Deep Tissue and Trigger Points Massage
This therapy is slow and working in specific affected areas of the body. The deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints) The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing toxins (lactic acid), constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.
Thai Massage
Originated in Asia and offers deeper mechanical functions of the body, working with stretches, deep muscle tension, and joint mobility, as well as nerve muscle and ligament balancing.
Sports Massage
Athletes have discovered that specially designed sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares their body and mind for optimal performance.
Mix Muscle Assistance Therapy
"MMA-Therapy" utilizes techniques that facilitate the relaxation and re-education of muscles that have impeded primary function due to chronic and acute injury, over-work, stress, and/or over-training. MMA-Therapy is applied through a combination of many different types of massage modalities such as Sport Massage, Trigger-Point, Deep Tissue, Meridian Work, Hydrotherapy, Cryotherapy, Reiki, ROM, Thai Massage and others. MMA-Therapy was developed by Omar Ramos, a seasoned, licensed massage therapist, in an effort to help his clients achieve relaxation, prevent further injury, and ensure the general healthy function of the muscles. This is done by assessing the client’s specific needs and subsequently applying the most appropriate mix of massage therapy modalities that ultimately result in a unique, beneficial therapy experience for the individual client.
